Sunil Grover comes out in support of Sonu Nigam, asks people to not give it 'a religious tinge'

Sonu Nigam's recent tweets on the azaan and the constant blaring of it on loudspeakers brought him a lot of backlash on social media. Soon, a fatwa was issued against the Bollywood singer. 

Now, Sonu who's known to not back out, challenged the maulvi who commissioned the fatwa against him. The maulvi announced an award of Rs 10 lakh to anyone who shaved Sonu's head. Sonu has done the unthinkable.

He got good friend and hair stylist Aalim Hakim to shave his head, in front of the media. Now, amid all this hullabaloo, the singer has found support in comedian Sunil Grover. Sunil who is himself in news for his alleged fight with Kapil Sharma tweeted in favour of Sonu.
