He launched Priyanka Chopra and Lara  Dutta in Andaaz in 2003 and now Suneel Darshan is all set to re-launch his son Shiv with the film Ek Haseena Thi.. Ek Deewana Tha. A tabloid  reports that he has purchased the rights to the 1980 chartbuster from Subhash Ghai to use as the title track.

Shiv made his debut with Karle Pyaar Karle produced by Suneel and directed by Rajesh Pandey. However, the film tanked and for three years Shiv took a break. Suneel is quoted saying, "Shiv deserves a second production because he has all the qualities of a superstar. Everyone has to stand the test of time and at the end of the day it is the audience that makes you a star."

The film has been shot in UK in cities like Cornwall, Dartmouth, Cardiff and Manchester. "You will see England as never before. Rough terrain in tough weather will bring out the different moods and shades of love," he is quoted saying.
