Allu Arvind is quoted saying, "It's a huge responsibility, but the Ramayana needs to be told on the big screen in the most magnificent way possible. We are committed to delivering a spectacular extravaganza."They have been working on the script for a year, says a source.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali: The Conclusion continues to smash records left, right and centre at the ticket windows. The Hindi version of the movie managed to rake in above Rs 80 crore in its second weekend, which is outstanding.

The Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj starrer film has already become the biggest All Time Blockbuster as it's the only Indian film to have crossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide. Needless to say, the film's success is sure to inspire many more filmmakers to re-visit their roots and give a new direction to their vision as well.
