Spider-Man lands up in Gurgaon

With his masked face, webbed fingers and nimble limbs popular superhero Spider-Man enthralled children and adults with his trademark acrobatic stunts at a live performance here today.

Children clapped with excitement and cheered the web slinging hero as he thrashed villains black and blue uttering all his dialogues in Hindi.

The performance was part of a promotional event organised by the Disney XD TV channel which is hosting a total of 17 shows scheduled in five Indian cities.

After Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Gurgaon was the third stop for the comic character who is set to display his stunts in Kolkata on January 4 and in Hyderabad on January 7.

"We are very excited to bring all fans this amazing opportunity to watch Spider-Man perform live. This is a part of our ongoing endeavour to provide children and families unique experiences around their favourite characters and programmes," said Natasha Malhotra, vice-president and general manager of Walt Disney Television India.

The gravity defying downward swing, acrobatic stunts and nicely executed fight scenes left the kids wanting for man. There were interactive games and contests for children.

The superhero posed with children and their parents and interacted with them.
