The Obamas are one of the most adorable power couples— in politics and in pop culture. On Monday, US President Barack Obama wished his wife Michelle as they celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary.

The couple is known for being both openly affectionate and having each other's back in public. Their joint appearances at events or in videos often make news and go viral online.

Their recent photoshoot for Essence magazine was an instant hit, with the photo below gaining cult status almost as soon as it was unveiled.

In 2014, the couple had recorded a video message to mark the 25th anniversary of Do the Right Thing where they talked about their personal connection with the film and the first meal they shared.

So popular is the story of their romance that their first date was recently made into an entire feature film. Southside with You is a biopic that provides the backstory to the very first not-a-date-date between the young Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson, who would go on to become the famous POTUS and FLOTUS. The movie, written and directed by Richard Tanne, was first screened at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
