Shubhaavi, who’s playing the role of Rishika in ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ (on Star Plus) is on the seventh heaven these days and why not? The actor will be getting married to boyfriend Harshal Choksey, a diamond merchant, on November 25.

Considering the fact that Shubhaavi was not dating anyone (after the split with actor Rushad Rana), the news of her wedding has come as a surprise.

Disclosing on how the two met, Shubhaavi shares, “Harshal and I had a common best friend. We had heard a lot about each other through the best friend. After we met, we got to know each other well and fell in love.”

So who was the first to propose? “It was Harshal. I was in Dubai to celebrate my birthday (February 12) and Harshal popped the question. I accepted it without a second thought,” Shubhaavi admits shyly.

Shubhaavi and Harshal will tie the knot in Gujarati style in a series of ceremonies spread over four days. Says Shubhaavi, “Harshal’s parents asked me if I wanted to get married in Mangalorean (since I am one) style. I said that I wanted to get married in Gujarati style as it is more fun - like having a Baraat (procession) come over.”

Shubhaavi will be wearing a sari on the mehendi day and a ghagra choli on her wedding day. “The trousseau is all assorted from Baroda, Rajasthan and some even from South India,” she informs.

However, what Shubhaavi is more excited about is their honeymoon. “I was just asked to hand over my passport. The destination is a surprise,” she signs off.
