'Salaar', directed by Yash starrer 'KGF' helmer Prashanth Neel, will mark the maiden collaboration between Prabhas and Shruti Haasan.

Actor Shruti Haasan is celebrating her 35th birthday today and as a surprise to her fans has been signed opposite Prabhas in the upcoming multilingual action film 'Salaar'. The makers announced the same by sharing a special poster starring Shruti.
Hombale Films revealed on Twitter that the actor has been roped in for its upcoming film 'Salaar' and wrote, "We're ecstatic to have you onboard for #Salaar. Can't wait to see you sizzle on the screen."

'Salaar' is set to be directed by Yash starrer 'KGF' helmer Prashanth Neel. The announcement of the film was made in December 2020 with a deadly poster calling Prabhas' character as the 'most violent'.
Prabhas also took to his Instagram page to wish his co-star. He wrote, "Happiest Birthday Shruti Haasan! Looking forward to working with you on #Salaar." The film will mark the maiden collaboration between Prabhas and Shruti.
Earlier, while speaking about the film, Prabhas had said, "This is a very exciting film and my character is extremely violent, so this is something I haven’t really done before. It’s a pan-Indian film and I can’t wait to be on the sets already."
On the work front, Shruti Haasan was last seen in Sankranti release 'Krack', in which she shared screen space with Ravi Teja. On the other hand, Prabhas' upcoming film includes Radhe Shyam directed by Radha Krishna Kumar co-starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
The actor also has Om Raut's Adipurush in which he plays the titular role. The magnum opus has Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist and is set for a 2022 release. Moreover, Prabhas will also be working with Deepika Padukone in Nag Ashwin directorial co-starring Amitabh Bachchan in a lead role.
