The year has begun well for Shruti Haasan as a singer. Tevar had her sing two strong tracks - Joganiyan and Madamiyan - and the latter one was picturised on her.

She continues with that winning streak, by the looks of it. At least the makers of Shamitabh are hoping it turns out that way. They're all set to launch Sannata sung by Shruti for her sister Akshara's Bollywood debut.Says an industry insider, "Joganiyan was one of the film's most successful elements and the makers of Shamitabh are ensuring they cash in on its momentum releasing Sannata with the hope it does the same for their film."

Adds this source, "Composed by Ilaiyaraaja, Sannata is very different from Joganiyan. It's young, contemporary, edgy and quirky, much like Shruti's own musical vibe. It's a different track compared to what one hears in mainstream music these days. The lyrics features names of various contemporary singers, lyricists actors and musicians, which makes it interesting enough to check out. Expect to see a different side to Shruti with this track."
