She added that she didn't like the way the term feminist boxed people in.
The pretty actress is gearing up for the release of Rocky Handsome with John Abraham and has been busy shooting for other films. Shruti Haasan is working on a special song for Women's Day with Ehsaan and Loy. This will release on March 8.
In a recent interview, when she asked whether she was feminist seeing that she was singing a special song for Women's Day, the light-eyed actress said she was not a feminist but a humanist. She added that she didn't like the way the term feminist boxed people in.
One of the major issues she has been vocal about is safety for women. Shruti said mentality of men has to be changed and the onus was on mothers to raise their sons differently.
