Shoojit Sircar to remake 'Feluda' series in Hindi
Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar is planning to remake Satyajit Ray’s detective drama Feluda in Hindi, reports a tabloid. Shoojit is quoted saying he is toying with the idea as Feluda has all the trappings of a franchise formula and might work if made well.

Written by Ray, Feluda first appeared in a Bengali magazine. Feluda is the name of a detective and several serials in Bengali and Hindi have been made based on it.
Another Bengali film, the director wants to remake in Hindi is Sonar Kella for which he is trying to acquire the rights.The director talks about his love for Ray’s movies saying they haven’t been able to match legendary filmmaker in terms of filmmaking. “He is the only world-standard filmmaker India has produced,” he is quoted saying.
