Shakira is set to charm Indians again. No, this Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer and legitimate eye-popper isn’t visiting our country for a stage show, but has been roped in by an Indian producer to sing and be part of a music video for his forthcoming Bollywood film tentatively titled The Final Call.

Shakira is teaming up with Punjabi singing sensation Daler Mehndi to sing an English Punjabi song which will be recorded in USA. The song will also have a music video which will be shot in Los Angeles and feature the gorgeous singer, Daler and the protagonist of the film. In fact, Sanjay Dutt has been approached to play the protagonist of the film and Golden Globe winner AR Rahman will in all probability be the music composer of this big-budget venture.

Reveals Surya Pratap, the producer who has earlier worked in the South Indian film fraternity, "The story is essentially about an emotional father-son relationship and these two characters will be played by only one actor. We have approached Sanjay Dutt for these roles and he has liked our script. Shakira and Daler Mehndi have given their confirmation. They will sing a groovy, English-Punjabi track and also feature in a special music video. The video will also have the protagonist and if Sanjay gives us the nod, it will be a lovely combination seeing three of them in the video."

Surya, who has also written the story of the film, adds, "Wilson Tong, the actor from the cult film The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, will be in charge of cinematography and action."
