"The fact that number of cars have increased, the roads need to be developed and safety measures need to be taken. Being the ambassador of this wonderful campaign known as 'safe move', I assure you that in whichever capacity I can, not only as a movie star but as a father of little children, only to be kept safe in the country, will do every thing to popularise this move and take it forward and make sure that roads are safe for our children," Khan said.

"I have been born and brought up in Delhi. I remember cycling to defence colony or south extension or even Gurgaon but now even I have difficulty in crossing the roads and of course all the three aspects have to be looked into," Khan added.

Khan also shared the dais with Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
