Scoop: Amitabh Bachchan to have a cameo in Akshay Kumar's 'Padman'?

Early at the beginning of this new year, Akshay Kumar had announced the name of his film to be directed by R Balki. The duo is teaming up for Padman, which is based on an inspirational story of India's Menstruation Man- Arunachalam Muruganantham.

And now, if the latest buzz is to be believed, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to have a cameo in the said film. Since R Balki's affection for Big B is not hidden from anyone, word has it that Amitabh Bachchan's cameo in Akshay Kumar starrer Padman is almost confirmed.

Earlier too, Big B has been a part of all the films by R Balki, be it Cheeni Kum, Paa or Shamitabh. In Ki & Ka that starred Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Big B has already done a cameo along with Jaya Bachchan. Big B has even done a cameo in Balki's wife Gauri Shinde's English Vinglish. 

Meanwhile, Padman is said to be based on the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who hails from Tamil Nadu invented the low-cost sanitary pad making machines and created awareness about the traditional menstruation mechanisms on the grassroot level. While Twinkle Khanna is said to be producing the film, Akshay will be seen romancing Sonam Kapoor in it.
