Santhanam now plays chef in 'Server Sundaram'
The grandson of renowned comedian Nagesh, Bijesh, plays the second lead in the movie.
The comedian-turned-hero has started shooting for his next film. Santhanam plays the role of server Sundaram in the movie called Server Sundaram.
Santhanam launched the movie in a very novel way - he did a paal kaachum nigazhvu (boiling milk ritual). He was also dressed up as server Sundaram! The actor said, “The outfit makes me feel like a chef myself!”
Director Anand Balki stated, “Looking at Santhanam as Server Sundaram reminds me of my previous experience working as an executive chef at a hotel." The crew at the shooting spot was quite at ease, laughing at the jokes.
The grandson of renowned comedian Nagesh, Bijesh, plays the second lead in the movie. Nagesh essayed the role of server Sundaram in the original film with the same name that released in 1964. The movie ran for a 100 days then and it remains a classic even today.
The Santhanam film is produced by Selvakumar of Kenanya Films. Selvakumar bought the title rights from AVM for this movie. Anand Balki is directing the movie and the music is by composer Santhosh Narayanan.
