The actress, fresh from the success of Kempegowda, shares her plans for the coming year
Ragini Dwivedi, who is super thrilled with Kempegowda’s success, says, “It’s great that people have loved the movie and the lead pair. I am really grateful to Sudeep, for no one but him could’ve portrayed me better on screen. He deserves all the credit for the accolades I’m getting.”
The actress believes that this year is going to be a definitive year as far as her career goes. “2011 is my year of experimenting. I have different roles in each of my releases. While Kempegowda saw me as a sweet, girl-next-door character, Happy Husbands is totally different,” says Ragini.
She adds, “This is the remake of No Entry and I play Bipasha’s character. It is bold, sexy and very confident. I’ll be sporting a very different look as well. And then there is Kanchana, my film with Digant, which is again quite different.”
Dwivedi is currently looking at taking her successful three-year stint in Sandalwood outside the border too. “I’ve been getting some good offers in Telugu and Malayalam. I will announce them the moment they reach final stages,” she says. We hear these include some big heroes and banners.
As far as her stint in Malayalam films go, she says, “I was very fortunate to debut in a film like Kandahar. It had the biggest opening last year. The film ensured the producers made good money and I won good reviews for my performance too. There have been some offers opposite Mammootty that’ve come my way already.”
And the 20-year-old is gearing up for Bollywood too. “I’ve got a great team in place there already. I’ve been talking to some big names. But, I’m in no rush. Sandalwood always remains my first priority. I had a great launchpad here. And I believe wherever I head to next, a good launchpad is a must to ensure a similar start to my career,” signs off Ragini.
