Sameera Reddy shares her birthday plans

Birthdays are all about having fun and that is exactly what actor Sameera Reddy is looking forward to. What makes it extra special this time is the fact that her sisters are home and the entire family is celebrating her birthday together after a long time. Visibly excited, she spoke about her birthday plans to us.

“This is a rare situation when both my sisters are home for my birthday. Sushma is here and so is Meghna with her husband. My father is ecstatic to have all his daughters home and this birthday is going to be all about family.”

Though her definition of celebrating her birthday has changed over the years, Sameera still gets excited each time she gets presents and surprises.

“When I was young, my parents would throw me a huge party where I would invite all my friends. I would get most excited about the birthday dress as that was the only day in school when you could wear something fancy. The feeling you get when the entire class sings happy birthday for you is something I will never forget.”

Over the past few years she has mellowed down and this year she isn’t planning a crazy party.

“I have just shifted to a new place and I would want to have a quiet dinner with my close friends and family. Meghna has promised to bake me a fancy cake.”

Birthdays also mean that time of the year when you can ask for gifts. Is there anything specific she has in mind? “Well, my sisters have helped me decorate the house and they have done a fabulous job. That is my biggest gift. Besides that I hope, I am surprised with a party like last year where my friends threw an impromptu bash for me. Who doesn’t love surprises?”

And what about birthday resolutions?

“I do realise that it is important to spend time with your family so this year I will definitely resolve to spend more time with my folks and also some more ‘me’ time for sure.”
