Close on the heels of the IIFA weekend in Sri Lanka, the cast and crew of Salman Khan-Asin starrer Ready directed by Anees Bazmi has landed in the island nation for the first schedule of shooting.

The movie's was originally to be shot in Mauritius, but after enjoying Colombo during the IIFA Weekend, there was much enthusiasm from Salman to change locations to Sri Lanka, sources said.

Sources said it was Salman who persuaded Bazmi to chose Sri Lanka for shooting of the film.

"Bazmee sent his crew to look for resort and jungle location which he wanted to shoot. The director liked what they shot and decided to seek permissions from the Lankan government," sources said.

Ready is produced by T-Series and the first schedule of the movie will be of 10 to 15 days, they said.

Salman Khan who played a key role in the IIFA Hands for Humanity Project as the Brand Ambassador for Charity, thoroughly appreciated the kindness and generosity of the Sri Lankans and is said to be thrilled about returning to the neighbouring island, sources said.
