Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya's confused stand on Salman
Not too long ago, Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya had gone all out to support actor Salman Khan, following the former's conviction in a 2002 hit-and-run case.
At the time, the singer had tweeted in the actor's favour, saying, "Kutta rd pe soyega kutte ki maut marega, roads garib ke baap ki nahi hai (If a dog sleeps on the road, he'll die a dog's death. Roads are not poor people's property) I ws homles an year nvr slept on rd @BeingSalmanKhan @sonakshisinha (sic)," he tweeted.
Adding, "Roads are meant for cars and dogs not for people sleeping on them... @BeingSalmanKhan is not at fault at all...@arbaazSkhan @sonakshisinha" The singer even urged the film industry to come out and support Salman. "Come out fraternity, support @BeingSalmanKhan boldly not hypocriticly Roads footpath r not meant 4 sleeping, not driver's or alcohol's fault."
Cut to 2016, and the often vocal singer has chosen a different stance from the one he took last year. This time slamming Salman for his support to Pakistani artistes. The singer went on a twitter rant, saying, "Bcos of our law machinery. He #SalmanKhan is roaming free and supporting terrorism हमें ज्ञान दे रहा है."
Clearly, Abhijeet is confused about where he stands with the actor or it could be a case of selective memory or temporary amnesia. Maybe Abhijeet can clarify.
