Apart from being the Sultan of Bollywood and ruling the tinsel town since quite a few years, Salman Khan has now become the highest advance tax payer for the financial year 2016-17. He has left Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan behind by paying a whopping amount of Rs 44.50 crore as advance tax, reported India Today and Hindustan Times. Last year Salman paid Rs 32.50 crore last year.

On the other hand Akshay Kumar paid Rs 29 crore and Hrithik Roshan paid Rs 23 crore. What came as a surprise was that Aamir Khan just paid Rs 14 crore despite the huge profit made by Dangal (which is Rs 140 crore as per India Today). Another shocking revelation came  from Kapil Sharma who is reported to have paid close to Rs 23 crore for 2016-17 whereas last year had apparently paid Rs 7 crore, which is a clear indication of his growing popularity.
