The actress, who shot to fame with her role in Gangster, says she’s in a secure position after six years in tinselville.

The Bolly hottie, who was in Dubai for the celebrity cricket tournament as the brand ambassador of actor-producer Sohail Khan’s team, Mumbai Heroes over the weekend, gets candid with DNA on Khans and campism in B-Town.

Ask Kangana if her being a brand ambassador of Sohail’s cricket team makes her a part of actor Salman Khan’s camp, and she’s quick to dismiss it.

“Firstly, I don’t need to be in any camps or with the Khans to get work. I’m well-settled in my space as an actress. I am not insecure like other actresses, who use the Khans as a tool to get more work. And may be, this is why many of them do not find true friends in the industry.

People choose me for my skills as an actress, and not because I’m their good friend!”

It’s quite evident that the actor has a lot to say. She adds further, “Having said that, I feel I have been really lucky to have found a few, but very good friends in Salman, Hrithik (Roshan), Riteish (Deshmukh) and Madhur Bhandarkar. But I don’t feel the need to call them my 4am friends — I feel I can pretty much handle all my problems on my own. I don’t need to run to friends and trouble them with my issues. Friends are our support, but I don’t like to use them for my personal gain!”

So now that we know that Kangana’s here to support her friends, does cricket interest her as well? “I haven’t watched cricket as a kid ever. We were not allowed to watch TV. We just used to watch Disney Hour for half an hour everyday. I was not into television or cricket or any sport for that matter. I’m here for my friends, who are playing  here — and it’s a different experience,” says Kangana adding, “I’m not crazy about cricket stars like other girls, but I do find David Beckham hot though he plays soccer!”
