On their son Sufiyan’s eighth birthday on Sunday, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and Warda held a special screening of Big Friendly Giant four days before its release (July 29). Says Warda, “Our close friend Madhu Mantena organised the special screening.
Sufiyan loves these kiddie films and he asked me, ‘Mama, I know dad can organise Bollywood films screening for us, but do you think he can organise a Hollywood film for me and my friends on my birthday this time?” And Sajid made it happen.
All of Sufiyan’s school and neighbourhood friends trooped in to watch the yet-to-release film. Post the screening the kids were treated to a BFG-theme party too.
