In a surprising turn of events, Saif Ali Khan, despite having access to luxury vehicles through his family, had to rely on a humble auto-rickshaw for emergency transportation to the hospital after the brutal attack. An auto-rickshaw driver named Bhajan Singh played a crucial role in him to Lilavati Hospital. Singh’s act ensured Saif received timely medical attention, however, he recently revealed that nobody from the Pataudi family has contacted him since.

Following the incident, Singh revealed that he hadn't received any communication from Saif Ali Khan's family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor. Singh clarified that he didn't expect any compensation for his actions. In an interview with ANI, he stated, "I was summoned to the Bandra Police Station for questioning. That night, I didn't think about money. So far, I haven't been contacted by Kareena Kapoor or anyone else, and we haven't had any conversation."

He said that his sole priority was getting Saif to the hospital quickly, without giving a thought to payment. "I was completely focused, my only concern being to get the injured person to the hospital swiftly. While we were in the rickshaw, Saif asked how long it would be until we reached the hospital. Seven or eight minutes later, I parked the rickshaw at the hospital gate," he recalled.

Singh also recounted how he unknowingly drove Saif Ali Khan, who was injured and bleeding, to Lilavati Hospital with his son Taimur, only realizing his famous passenger's identity when they arrived. Singh described how Saif, accompanied by his children, including Taimur, and two women, slowly approached his rickshaw and was helped in by the women.

Meanwhile, Saif’s attacker, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, has been remanded in police custody for five days as the investigation unfolds, facing charges of robbery, house-breaking, and other offences under Indian law. In a separate update, doctors at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital reported that the actor is recuperating well and may be discharged from the hospital soon.
