Ronnie Wood has suggested they might follow their current 50 & Counting tour with a new disc.
Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones has hinted the band is planning to record a new album. The veteran musicians released a 2012 greatest hints album, Grr! for which they recorded a handful of new songs, to coincide with the band’s 50th anniversary shows.
Now Wood has suggested they might follow their current 50 & Counting tour with a new disc. He insists they just need to find the time to head into the recording studio.
He told an American radio station, “It takes so much time and effort to take this thing back on the road, (but) we’ve just got to find the gaps to record.”
The band’s frontman Sir Mick Jagger recently suggested he was reluctant to release any more material because fans don’t want to hear new songs at the gigs.
Mick said, “It would be nice to have a new album, but people don’t like the new album when you play it on stage.”
