Review: 'For Real' has very little depth
The plot is a flimsy excuse for a feature length film. There is very little depth and the complexity expected from a drama that veers towards the psychological, is missing.
For RealCast: Sarita Choudhury, Adil Husein, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Zoya Hasan, Sriharsh SharmaDirector: Sona JainRating: * *Sona Jain’s film delves into the mind of a six-year old girl Shruti(Zoya Hasan) who is traumatised by having seen her parents in a fight and feels abandoned by her mother's (Sarita Choudhury) unexplained, sudden trip to Shimla. Having heard her brother’s take on aliens from the Orion Galaxy, the over-imaginative Shruti begins to believethat the woman who returns home is not her real mother but an alien.

Helmer Sona Jain’s narrative is way too tedious and exacting. Her script has a narrow focus and her plotting is just as unviable and unyielding. The treatment and performances are realistic but they are just not enough to make the ensuing experience worthy of a high-priced multiplex ticket!
