Resul Pookutty to be part of world's best sound technicians' guild

Since that day in February 2009 when he bagged the Oscar for Best Sound Editing for Slumdog Millionaire, Resul Pookutty has garnered attention in mainstream Hollywood and across the world. Latest on the list is an invitation to be part of the elite Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE), a guild of the best sound technicians in the world.

“I see this as not only recognition of my talent, but of the entire Indian film industry which until fifteen years ago had not even heard of a a ‘sound designer’! This is a recognition of all those who are working in their dim rooms of post production houses and of their efforts to be seen as artists who make cinema the experience that it is,” says Resul.
