Lakdi Ki Kaathi, the popular children’s song from Masoom will be featured in Ruchi Narain’s upcoming animation flick Hanuman Da Damdaar. Urmila Matondkar, who was part of the original song, will launch the new version on Thursday, reports Mid-Day.

Ruchi is quoted saying she was apprehensive of approaching Urmila to launch the song. “To my surprise, she agreed. Both the song and film are special to her.” The original song was written by Gulzar and composed by RD Burman, while the rehashed version is composed by Abhishek Arora.

On a related note, the trailer of Hanuman Da Damdaar was unveiled a few days back and it garnered immense appreciation among the kids. The voice over by various artists, especially Salman Khan and his famous "Ek bar jo maine commitment kar di" dialogue struck an instant connect and became an instant hit.

The movie is slated to hit the theatres on June 2.
