After taking the nation by storm with his unbridled passion in Ramleela, Bollywood's 'crazy dude' Ranveer Singh has added another feather to his cap by signing up for endorsing a condom brand.

Yes, you heard us right.

In what can be termed as a pathbreaking step, the actor has become the first leading man from Bollywood to have signed up for a deal to endorse a condom brand.

While actresses like Pooja Bedi and Sunny Leone have shown more guts to have endorsed the product, the men have shied away from it, until now.

The actor feels that ensuring safe sex is also a social cause and that there is no harm is endorsing the product.

A leading tabloid quoted a source as saying, "Ranveer always prefers to tread a different path. He knows how to exude confidence and attitude. A combination of all these factors, plus his growing popularity, made him a suitable choice for the brand. The actor loves attention and knows how to get it - be it through his mannerisms or his comments. The brand feels that his cool dude image will be an asset to their campaign."

Well, with this move, we can guarantee that the Ramleela actor will grab more eyeballs than he did for his bare-bodied act in the film.

While Ranveer has the project safely tucked away in his kitty, the hunt for the female model is on for the ad that is scheduled to be shot on March 30 and 31.

One hears that the brand had approached actors like Emraan Hashmi and Arjun Rampal, before they found Ranveer.

Interestingly, during one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan 3, Deepika had suggested her ex-flame Ranbir to endorse a condom brand.

While Kapoor junior didn't take up the challenge, Deepika's current beau Ranveer has risen to the ocassion. Anything for love, we say.
