Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt to indulge in a lot of improvisational singing in 'Gully Boy'

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have been cast in Zoya Akhtar's next directorial venture Gully Boy is known. And the effect they're expected to have is, the same boost a Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor gave to the ABCD franchise. If Varun-Shraddha could dance, Alia and Ranveer are both known for their singing skills off-screen.

Apart from this being a fresh pairing, they have never worked together, save for one endorsement they work on together, the film will also see them exercising their vocal chords throughout. From what we've learnt, the two will indulge in rapping and a fair bit of singing in Gully Boys.

"Alia has sung for films before. Ranveer, hasn't, but what isn't known, is that he's a keen rapper. This film requires both of them to play street singers. There will be a lot of improvisational singing by both of them,” shares a source about what to expect from the two actors.
