Ram Gopal Varma's Lakshmi's NTR trailer becomes the talk of the town, Watch

When the film NTR Kathanayakudu released, there was an entire story told on the life of Andhra Pradesh’s most revered yesteryear actor, the legendary NTR who also was a national sensation because of his political sojourn. A sequel of the film is awaited and an official announcement of the release date is yet to be made by the film’s director Krish Jagarlamudi and team.

But in the midst of this, another parallel story that has been running is that of Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR which will tell a different episode of the actor/politician’s life. While the biopic being made by Krish is a glorification of NTR and his life, Ram Gopal Varma promises to narrate the most controversial part of the actor’s life – that of his second marriage to Lakshmi Parvathy and his eventual eviction from his own Telugu Desam Party!

The story of how his own son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu, the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, got him ousted from the top seat is a story everyone in the Telugu speaking states is familiar with. Also, the opposition and criticism that NTR was subjected to for deciding to marry Lakshmi Parvathy have been talked about a lot.

The trailer of Lakshmi’s NTR that was released on occasion of Valentine’s Day seems to have struck quite a chord with the audiences and the trailer hit a whopping two million views within two hours of being released and almost had nearly 2.6 million views by the end of the day.

What’s more, it has registered higher views than the other star-studded trailer of Majili released on the same day.
