An arrest warrant was issued against him on January 17. The Rajkot magistrate has granted him bail for a surety of Rs 25,000 in the case on March 4. The Jethanis have said that they met Santoshi for a project with a budget of nearly Rs 1.50 crore for which the latter issued multiple cheques which bounced. And after sending him legal notices which didn't get any response, the duo filed a case against him.

However, Santoshi claims that he hasn't taken money from them. He is quoted saying, "My lawyers are replying to him (Anil) with a legal notice and we are going to challenge him in court. He will be the one paying for this." He claims that the Jethanis are trying to gain publicity using his name.
