Prabhas announces release date of 'Adipurush' co-starring Saif Ali Khan
Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan are all set to collaborate for the first time in Om Raut directorial 'Adipurush'. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.
Telugu star Prabbhas' forthcoming film is Om Raut directorial Adipurush in which he plays the titular role. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist. On Wednesday, Prabhas has posted a note on his Instagram page about a special announcement to be made about the film at 7:11 am. Yes, the makers have announced the release date of the film and Adipursuh is set to hit the screens on August 11, 2022.

The film lead of Adipurush is yet to be announced. Interestingly, it was Kareena Kapoor Khan who announced Saif Ali Khan's role as Lankesh in the film. Soon after Prabhas announced Adipursuh, his Baahubali director SS Rajamouli had shared his excitement. He had said, "I know about Adipurush even before the announcement. It is the perfect time to make a movie with a story based on Lord Rama."
Talking about Prabhas' journey, Rajamouli went on to say, "Already Prabhas' career is sky high and it will reach more heights after this."
