'Powerpuff Girls' to make a comeback on Cartoon Network on April 4

The revamped version of hit cartoon series "The Powerpuff Girls" will premiere on Cartoon Network this April 4.

The animated favourite about three wide-eyed superhero sisters protecting their home of Townsville against villains of all shapes and sizes will air back-to-back episodes, followed by two weeks of new adventures through April 15 each weeknight, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Afterward, the season continues every Thursday at 6 pm starting April 21.

Starring voice actresses Amanda Leighton as Blossom, Kristen Li as Bubbles, and Natalie Palamides as Buttercup, "The Powerpuff Girls" is produced by Cartoon Network Studios, with Nick Jennings and Bob Boyle serving as executive producers.
