Last year, Priyanka Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra looked like the perfect pair to endorse Nirav Modi's jewels. They teamed up for the first time ever for a brand endorsement and everyone had their eyes on them.

But now with Nirav Modi's name being caught in Punjab National Banks' Rs 11,000 crore fraud which is out in the open, seems like the stars are also ready to disassociate with the brand. Priyanka Chopra has sued Nirav Modi for non-payment of dues. The actress has accused him for not paying her for the famous diamond ad campaign with Sidharth.   Earlier Mid-Day reported that Sidharth Malhotra also doesn't want his to be assocaited with them anymore.  Mumbai daily's sources suggested that Aiyaary actor may not work with the brand folk until the charges against them are proved wrong. The actor is vary about his image as Mr clean and doesn't want that to get affected According to his contract with them, Sidharth had to shoot for three commercials with them and has shot for only one which also featured Priyanka Chopra. 

These two are not the only b-towners associated with diamond dealers.  Lisa Haydon and Nimrat Kaur have not just launched his store in New York City but also feature in their print ads. Nirav’s creations have been quite popular among stars both in Bollywood and Hollywood.  Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Chitrangada Singh and Shilpa Shetty have worn his diamond jewellery in the past. Hollywood actresses like Karlie Kloss, Kate Upton, Stella Maxwell and Olivia Munn also opted for his jewellery at many prestigious red carpet dos.

For the uninitiated, the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday, conducted multiple searches in connection with Rs 280 crore money laundering case against billionaire jewellery designer Nirav Modi and others following a complaint by the Punjab National Bank. Official sources said the agency sleuths swooped down on at least ten premises of entities involved in the case early morning. The premises raided by the ED here include Modi's residence in Kurla, his jewellery boutique in Kala Ghoda area, three company locations in Bandra and Lower Parel, three premises in Surat in Gujarat and Modi's showrooms in Chanakyapuri and Defence Colony in Delhi. The ED had filed a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after going through a CBI FIR registered early this month.
