"I've been working on this one since the same time as 'Plus'. Every year I write a song that will go on it.

"So I have about six, seven at the moment," Sheeran says.

The British singer, whose latest track "Shape of you" has become a worldwide hit, says he is taking a different musical direction this time, reported Femalefirst.

"It's not necessarily experimental but I do not think there will be any hot radio songs on it this time. It's a very acoustic record," the 26-year-old says.

Sheeran says it will take him around "three or four" more years to release the LP.
