In light of all the success of Baahubali, rumours circulated that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati may also be getting a boost in finances to compete with the grand scale of Baahubali. Reports suggested that the team of Padmavati has decided to increase the budget of the film from Rs 160 crore to Rs 200 crore.

However, the makers of Padmavati flatly denied any such development. According to Pinkvilla, a source from the Padmavati team mentioned "This information is not true at all. Firstly, the budget is not even Rs 160 cr and then, there have been no plans to increase the budget after the success of Baahubali 2. This is totally wrong information."

We're sure that the historical epic will be splendid, even without the budget rise. Padmavati, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, is scheduled for release on November 17, 2017.
