Before 'L2: Empuraan', a sequel to 'Lucifer', Prithviraj Sukumaran has announced his second directorial. Titled 'Bro Daddy', the film will star Mohanlal in the titular role. This will be the second time the actor-filmmaker directing the Malayalam superstar. Interestingly, Mohanlal is also directing Prithviraj in his directorial debut 'Barroz'. Meanwhile, 'Bro Daddy' has an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Meena, Lalu Alex, Murali Gopy, Kaniha and Soubin.

While announcing the film, Prithviraj wrote on his Instagram page, "My second directorial. 'BRO DADDY' @brodaddymovie will once again be headlined by The Lalettan, with an ensemble cast including yours truly playing equally important full-length roles in the film. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, this is a fun family drama written by Sreejith and Bibin. A script, that we hope will become a film that makes you smile, laugh and want to revisit. I guess it's about time we all got a happy film. Rolling soon. Actually... very soon."

Meanwhile, about his role in 'Barroz', Prithviraj had said at an event, "The movie is one of its kind... But ultimately it all comes down to someone spending the money and showing conviction."

'Barroz: Nidhi Kaakkum Bhootham' is based on the novel titled 'Barroz: Guardian of D' Gama's Treasure' written by Jijo Punnoose. The film stars Mohanlal in the titular role alongside Shayla McCaffrey, Sara Vega and Rafael Amargo.

About 'Empuraan', the film is touted to be the prequel to 'Lucifer' and IMDb describes its synopsis as "The life and footway of Stephen Nedumbally becoming Khureshi Ab'raam and he befriending with Zayed Masood."
