From being a posterboy as a crossover actor Fawad Khan has suddenly become the whipping boy. Earlier there were reports saying that Imran plays Anushka Sharma's brother in the film, but he denied the rumours in a Facebook post.

He had shot with the team in Mumbai and after he wrapped his shoot he posted a message on Facebook saying, “Last day at the shoot in Mumbai. Truly thankful to Karan Johar for everything, Anushka Sharma and Lisa Haydon for being wonderful co-actors on set. And last but not the least, I must admire Ranbir Kapoor for making things so easier for me and being there like a great friend all through out.”

A popular Pakistani TV actor known for his serials like Khuda Aur Mohabbat and Mera Nasseb, Imran made his Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt's horror film Creature opposite Bipasha Basu. However, the film tanked at the box office and he was next seen in Muzaffar Ali's period drama Jaanisaar opposite debutante Pernia Qureshi, but even this film did not find any takers.
