No questions on my husband, please: Sarita Chowdhury

Actor Sarita Chowdhury is in no mood to talk about her previous relationships. She, in fact, is reluctant to talk about her husband too. “I don’t want to discuss about my husband here. Hope you do not mind that,” she says when quizzed. But still when we pressed a little more on her husband, she reveals, “He is not from the industry at all! He is a war photographer and it is from him where my baby (her seven-year-old daughter Maria) gets her blonde hair from,” she says.

Ask her about who she would prefer as her on-screen husband in Bollywood and she says that she would vote for Naseeruddin Shah over anybody else. “I think that I would look compatible with him. He (Naseeruddin Shah) is my Robert De Niro. I want to come back to India again and do a film with him,” she says.
Sarita says that she is still confused about what her accent is after she made a conscious effort to get rid of her earlier accent. “I don’t know what my accent is now. They got rid of my accent (British) when I was doing Mississippi Masala (in 1992 co-starring Denzel Washington). God knows what accent I have now,” she wonders.
