Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls hasn’t even released and it’s already high on sensationalism.

Our sources at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) reveal that the Madhur Bhandarkar film’s trailer was recently submitted for certification. Adds the source, “The trailer contains provocative and sensous content. There’s even a shot of a nude woman, which had to be snipped before giving the trailer a UA certificate. We don’t know how or why Bhandarkar came to us with a trailer that contained a nude shot. He should know that it would never be passed in a trailer.'

A UA certificate for a trailer automatically limits its reach. It cannot be shown on television and cannot be attached to films certified for all ages. This would be another setback of sorts for Bhandarkar, whose last release Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, fizzled at the BO, while his next, Madamjee with Priyanka Chopra has been indefinitely shelved.
