No Amitabh Bachchan, no Ranbir Kapoor, no KBC?
The contract with Bachchan is over, but still they were keen on having him as the host.
The game show Kaun Banega Crorepati was given a miss last year. There were reports that this year the show will be back with Ranbir Kapoor as host in place of Amitabh Bachchan.
Now, we hear, it’s not happening even this year. Says an insider, “The contract with Bachchan is over, but still they were keen on having him as the host. But that didn’t happen so they wanted Ranbir, but he is shooting for the Sanjay Dutt biopic for which he will be sporting different looks resembling the senior actor. He did not want to shoot for the show with those looks. So, the makers were considering approaching other actors like Akshay Kumar, but so far, they haven’t got anybody. Hence, they are likely to scrap it this year also.”
However, a source close to the channel says the show is on and various actors are being approached to host it.
