Nayanthara contributes Rs 20 lakh to FEFSI in fight against coronavirus

While many actresses donated to CM Relief Fund, Nayanthara contributed towards FEFSI to help daily wage workers

Post coronavirus lockdown in India, daily wage workers, including from the film industry, have been struggling to meet basic needs. Nayanthara came forward and contributed Rs. 20 lakhs to FEFSI to help them combat the current situation.

While veteran actress Latha contributed towards CM relief fund, India Glitz reports that Nayantharaa made the generous donation. However she is not the first person to do so. Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Ram Charan have also donated massive amounts to FEFSI.

Nayanthara was last seen in Rajinikanth's pan-India film 'Darbar'. The movie was helmed by A R Murugadoss and backed by Lyca Productions. She has bagged yet another Rajinikanth movie titled 'Annaatthe' where she is one of the female leads with Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu Sundar and Meena. The shooting of the movie was halted due to 21-day lockdown.

Apart from Rajinikanth, the 'Thalaivi' has bagged a film opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Titled 'Kaathu Vaakula Oru Kadhal', the movie is directed by her boyfriend Vignesh Shivan. She has also been roped in for RJ Balaji directorial Mukuthi Amman, which is touted to be a religious film.
