'Rape' remark: Salman Khan has 7 days to apologise, says National Commission for Women
The NCW has also asked for an explanation from the star.
Salman Khan landed himself in a huge controversy when he reportedly said that training for his upcoming movie Sultan left him feeling like a "raped woman".
According to ANI, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has now asked the actor to explain his comments.
NCW chief Latha Kumarmangalam said that the commission has sent him a letter and asked him to apologise within seven days or they will call him to the Commission.
"This is very sad. Just because he is Salman Khan doesn't mean he will make such a statement," said the NCW chief.
Salman Khan, in an interview with site Spotboye.com, had said, "When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn’t stop."
The actor was talking about his upcoming movie Sultan in which he plays the role of a wrestler. He was describing the process of shooting the gruelling scenes.
The comments have sparked a lot of outrage on social media.
