Munnabhai 3 will go ahead without Jolly LLB director
Munnabhai Chale Dilli which Hirani will direct after he completes the Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor.
Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who is currently busy with his Sanjay Dutt biopic, will direct the third part of the Munnabhai series – Munnabhia Chale Dilli, but without writer-director Subhash Kapoor.
Kapoor was writing the story of Munnabhai 3 for the last couple of years but he and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra fell out on the final draft. Both had different visions and decided to part amicably after that.
Now Abhijat Joshi (written films like Lage Raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots, PK, Kareeb, Wazir and Mission Kashmir among others) has been roped in to write Munnabhai Chale Dilli which Hirani will direct after he completes the Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor.
