Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a celebrated national icon. There's no doubt about that. And when his life was being translated into a film on celluloid, expectations and anticipation - both were sky rocketing. Now the film has released the team has received tremendous results...
The film opened at a whopping Rs 21.30 crore on its first day. On second day, the film dropped just a bit but that was normal. The film has received a thumbs up from audiences and critics alike and the positive word of mouth has ensured it's a hit film already.
The film has now brought in another Rs 20.60 crore on Saturday, which is huge considering it doesn't have a superstar actor in it. But Sushant Singh Rajput has managed to give his all to what you would call a career defining role of sorts.
With that, the 2 days total collections stand at Rs 41.90 crore which is beyond excellent. The film is also strong on Sunday, and the holiday factor is working in its favour. The film will definitely cross the Rs 60 crore mark in 3 days but we are thinking that even a Rs 65 crore weekend looks possible now.
