Movie Review: 'Nasha' is a tease that never reaches its climax

What’s it aboutOlder woman younger boy romance gets a sexual twist in this tale where lust and love seem like two sides of the same coin. Anita (Poonam) is a high school teacher (we never see her in class!) who becomes the object of 18-year-old Saahil’s (Shivam) obsession.
Most of the first half veers between objectifying Pandey as a sexual object in various dream sequences. The second deals with Saahil’s jealousy of Anita’s tumultuous relationship with her boyfriend. Eventually, what stays in the end are the uncomfortable scenes of love making between the lead pair.What’s hotThe only saving grace in the film is the somewhat likeable camaraderie between Saahil and his gang of friends.What’s notNasha is a tease that never reaches its climax (no pun intended!). Poonam’s close ups and the silly love making scenes will make you chuckle in distaste. The premise might be potent but the treatment and production values just don’t add up to the drama.
Shivam looks the part, but is constantly in a semi charmed state of daze. His lust for Anita seems forced and his ‘performance’ in the make out scenes is better left unrated!What to doNasha should have been titled Sazaa as it neither titillates nor pushes the envelope in storytelling or execution. Don’t fall for this one!
