This will be Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's second film to be shot in the rough terrain.
Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra is never shy of exploring. Be it ideas or places, the filmmaker has always picked subjects that have been different. The director who has directed Aks, Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB) will be directing Anil Kapoor’s son Harshavardhan Kapoor’s debut film Mirza Sahibaan.
During shooting in Ladakh for BMB, Mehra was so impressed by the scenic beauty of the region that he decided to explore it more in Mirza Sahibaan. “I only shot a few scenes of BMB in Ladakh. The shots where Milkha Singh is trained by his coach were shot in Ladakh, I had decided to come back and use the locations for my next film.” He adds, “It is said that you come to Ladakh one time, after it’s Ladakh that calls you again and again. I will shoot for my next with Harshvardhan in this rough terrain.”
