England's reinstated skipper John Terry has said that Mike Tyson would also find hard to pull the captain's armband off him now.

Then he revealed how fierce booing of the national anthem from Welsh fans inspired England's impressive win.

Terry, who created the opening goal with a typical attacking surge, said: "Mike Tyson will find it hard to take the armband off me now. I feel so proud - the performance made me feel so happy."

"It was a great feeling for me to lead my country again to victory. I felt very honoured. From Ashley Young in attack through to Michael Dawson in defence, everyone wanted to play their part," the Daily Star quoted him, as saying.

Terry's Chelsea teammate Ashley Cole was also fired up when a laser pen was flashed at him.

"They made it easier for us. We went out proud, then when we heard them it made us even more determined to do well. You always expect some kind of booing but this seemed to be something different.

"We didn't need anymore - our chests were already pumped by the fact we were playing for our country," Terry said.
