Michael Fassbender stars in the titular role as Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic and the actor has joked he studied Ashton Kutcher to prepare for the character.In 2013, Kutcher played the man in the drama, Jobs.

Fassbender, 38, who plays the late Apple co-founder from his late 20s to his mid-40s, said he was aware he does not look like Jobs, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"Obviously, I don't look anything like Steve Jobs. That was the first thing I said to Danny. Christian Bale looks a lot more like Steve Jobs. (To prepare for the role) I studied Ashton Kutcher," he joked.

The biopic, penned by screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, recounts the ups and downs Jobs had during his career which encouraged him to revolutionise the computer, music and mobile industries.

Steve Jobs stars Kate Winslet as ex-Macintosh marketing chief Joanna Hoffman, Seth Rogen, as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley, along with Katherine Waterston, Michael Stuhlbarg.

The film will release on October 9.
