The 39-year-old actor, who plays businessman Kenny Wells in the film, said the Oscar-winning actor is the most generous man he has ever worked with, reported Contactmusic.

"Matthew's the best partner you can ever have in a movie', he said. 'He's the best colleague, it's incredible how generous he is, he's the best partner you can wish for. He's been so generous and open and committed and he is by far one of the most generous men I have ever met, not only in my career but in general in my life.

"He's a very generous person, and very open and very giving and always up for the challenge to experiment, to try new things. He's very courageous," Ramirez said.

Ramirez stars as geologist Michael Acosta in "Gold," a story based on the 1993 Bre-X mining scandal, and tells the story of a down-and-out businessman who thinks he is struck gold - literally - in the jungles of Borneo, Indonesia. But the things don't work in his favour.
