Mallika Sherawat injured on 'The Bachelorette India' set

The transition from Bollywood to television was literally painful for Mallika Sherawat.

The actress, who will feature in Life Ok's reality show The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika, had reportedly fallen from a bike and hurt herself while shooting for the show's promo.

"When Mallika was shooting for the promo, an unforeseen incident happened with her. The moment the bike accelerated, Mallika lost control and fell from it. Not just this, the sari got stuck in the wheel and unfortunately got torn," said a source close to the production house.

"She faced minor bruises but her spirit was undeterred. She immediately got up and to everyone's surprise, created no fuss and agreed to re-shoot," the source added.

The dating reality show, based on the internationally popular format of The Bachelor, focusses on finding a match for the actress among 30 contestants.

The show will be aired Oct 7 on Life OK.
